By accessing and using renovio.us or the Renovio mobile application (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Renovio provides a home renovation cost estimation tool available on the web at renovio.us and as a mobile application for iOS. The Service uses publicly available data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and other sources to generate cost estimates for various home renovation projects. The Service is provided as-is for informational purposes only.
3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Renovio offers an optional premium subscription ("Renovio Premium") available through the iOS App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Payment: Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time.
- Free Trial: If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Premium features include advanced project tracking, AI-powered analysis, and other enhanced tools. Feature availability may change over time.
4. Disclaimer of Accuracy
Cost estimates provided by Renovio are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as exact quotes or guarantees of actual costs. Actual renovation costs may vary significantly based on local conditions, contractor availability, material prices, project complexity, permits, code requirements, and other factors not accounted for in our estimates. Always obtain multiple quotes from licensed contractors before beginning any renovation work.
5. Intellectual Property
The content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Renovio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the Service's operation
- Use automated scripts to access the Service without our written permission
- Misrepresent our estimates as professional quotes or guarantees to third parties
7. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including government data sources such as BLS.gov and HUD.gov. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renovio shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from decisions made based on cost estimates provided by the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renovio, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Service with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
